Good Morning,
I have been looking at some 37 pin Amphenol connectors.
They look OK visually, they do not seem warped and the pins do not seem bent. Yet the process of connecting the two halves of the connector requires a great deal of force. The people in charge say this has always been the case.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Normal. Each socket has a tight grip. That's the price for good connections - no intermittents. Push in a little, turn nut, push in a bit more.

If it's too much, consider Amp CPC as an alternative. CPC is plastic, but they have a metal version.
