FX3U - Ethernet module - Beiger 1151hmi
I have these setup on a press which all worked fine. But since swapping the FXU3-80 for a smaller FXU3-48 I get an coms error 254 on the HMI. I can write to the PLC over the network and also to the HMI but the two don't talk.
I'm wondering if the replacement smaller FXU has a different setting in the Ethernet module?
Attached is a image of the current settings that did originally work.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Norman,

First of all, please tell us the configuration etc.

GX-IEC og Developer og GX-Works2?

What settings are made in the E-Designer for the HMI?

When you downloaded to the new PLC, did you also reset/power off/on the ENET-card again?

Do you read/write to X/Y that are out of range for the FX3U-48?

Dariusch, thanks for replying, its Gx Developer, Yes I reset the ENet card.
E-Design settings are HMI drivers = 1151-Landscape. 1.5x
Controller 1 -= FX3U Ethernet.

Ok.

Try to change the port-settings in the ENET for the target side from 1282 to 65535.

Attached is from a project I have running and also from the help in E-designer.

And just to be sure. The IP of your PLC is 192.168.1.254?

Can you please try chage the IP for the PLC to maybe 192.168.1.20.
and correct settings in edesigner also.

Dariusch, I tried again with the 65535 as you suggested, I also found I had the ENet settings were in Asii not binary in the op settings and this seems to have sorted it out and go them both communicating now.
So thank you very much for your assistance.
