At my wits end with this. System was running fine. First came a domain migration, which screwed up the User List, creating duplicates under the old and new domains (and random permissions). Really weird. All users had same permission levels, yet some could put devices in manual and some couldn't. Didn't make any sense.
Next came a call to Wonderware support who suggested we blow away the User List and re-create. So we backed up the Galaxy first. Hours later, admitting defeat, the Galaxy was restored by first undeploying all objects, doing the restore, then re-deploying everything.
Since this system is VERY slow, left it overnight. Next morning, View Node machines (running WW Viewer) had no connection (no data). And now nobody can log in, and the domain drop-down is grayed out. BIG step backwards.
So now we're just trying to get back to where we were. The restore put the user list back (with the duplicate entries and both domains), so that much worked. But several attempts to re-deploy the GR Node (w/re-boots) failed. So undeployed everything again. Then tried to just re-deploy the GR node. Seemed to deploy OK (no errors in the status window), but the icon still showed the yellow box (like it was undeployed).
So then tried to re-deploy the Terminal Services Platform. Failed with the title error: "Failed to validate GR Node".
So there seems to be something wrong with the GR Node, and I'm guessing this is why the logins are all screwed up?
Not sure why the displays don't connect and show data, though. Will they just not work if the GRNode is broken?
