I am looking for the *.200 type file for the Siemens OP7 using ComET200. At least I hope that such a file exists!

Best regards, Nico

You are in luck, it just so happens that I have two (yes 2) .200 files for an OP7. The files are 078020ax.200 and 078040ax.200, I don't know which one you would require, but I can email them both to you and you can then see which one is the one you want.

Hi Paul,

I think I'm going to need the 078020ax.200. This one is for the OP7/DP and the 078040ax.200 is for the OP7/DP-12.

BUT....

As a matter of fact: I have these files already and tried to configure an OP7 in ComET200 V4.0 but without succes. If you can mail met the "20" I can check if it is the same version and language.

Thanks, Nico.

Nico

The version of 078020ax.200 that I have is version 5.x, at least that's what it says in the second line of the file.

If you still want this file I will email it to you first thing in the morning.

Paul

Hi Paul,

We are talking about the same files: I've got the V5 files as well. I'm looking for V4 files, or an update to V5 from my V4 ComET200.

Best regards ans thanks, Nico.

is it this file?

Hi,

No, this file is "way too new". This is a GSD file for configuring networdks with modern software.

I'm looking for an ComET200 V4.0 file. This DOS program is about 10 years old already. But I need to use this because of my installed Eprommer. And I do not want to buy new hard- and software for this discontinued stuff.

Thanks anyway, Nico.

you can import the older versions to the newer but not the other way around.
I have used both versions of the programs, if you install the newer version (or was it the older?)without the prommer you have to install the whole program again.

TRY THIS depending on what card (OK also the software) you have, you can program the card without removing the memorycard.(prommer)
At least the new version om comet has ac ommand to move files to the memory card. This should work if you have the S5 profibus DP card cpxxxx? with eeprom or was it flashrom...

Nico

As you can import 'older' GSD (and .200) files into the newer programs with no problem, that might be the way to go. For instance, if you had ComPB 3.1, there shouldn't be any problem with you importing the current Profibus configuration into 3.1, providing you have got the appropriate .200 files in the correct folder for ComPB 3.1 and you have 'read' the GSD (or .200) files in.

ComPB 3.1 is a 'licence free' program and as such there shouldn't be any problems with freely distributing it. If you have the Simatic net CD from that 'era', that should have 3.1 or even 3.3 on it, so you can install it that way. Failing that I can email you ComPB 3.1 in the form of 5 zip files so you can install it that way.

This might be your only way around the problem you are facing.

I faced a similar problem to you a while ago (Click here for details) when I had to upgrade from ComPB V3.1 to 5.1, although the original configuration was done using ComET200, I then had to upgrade from that to 3.1 to add a beckhoff serial input card onto the configuration, and lastly to 5.1 to add the ET200S's in.

I give up!!!!!

I could not find matching files for the combination I use. Changing to plan B: made a 16 meter serial connection from OP to PLC! And this works...

Thanks, Nico.
