Who can tell me what problems I can expect when replacing a 316-2DP by a 317-2DP? (my 316 has a full work memmory)
Where can I get more information?

I wouldn't expect to have any trouble with the swap. Unlike the 318 which is sort of 400 in camouflage, the 317 is still a genuine 300 series CPU. It's just got more of everything. It's going from a 318 to a 317 where you've got to watch out.

I'll have a look at the details of any differences when I'm back at work tomorrow and if there are any significant differences (negative OR positive) I'll post them.

317-2DP

It will be a pretty seamless swap, but when ordering don't forget to buy the micro memory card. I don't belive the 316 required one. The MMC is used instead of a battery for program backup among other things.
