Hi Sparkies,

Does S5 conflict with S7 in any way?.
Let me tell you about what I have.

I have a Laptop with Step7 (Simatic Manager from Siemens) installed.Recently I bought S5 for Windows from IBH (Version 5.02).

The question is:Can I proceed & install it in my laptop along with my Step7?Is there any fear that it might conflict with Step7?Frankly my fear is to lose my Step7 authorization.

Has any one of you installed both systems b4?

I appreciate your valuable replies(as usual)

Be good

I have both Step7 5.3 old step5 dos and s5/s7 for Windows from IBH installed on my machine running on Win2000 sp4 without any problems.

Hi Folks,

I forgot to tell you that my operating system is Windows XP

I've got a reply that the system is operational in Windows 2000, does any one run it on XP?

Cheers

I have about the same configuration as Bratt, but on Wondows XP SP1. It works without any problem. I hear you have to keep away from XP SP2 if you want to avoid troubles, so I stick with XP SP1.

Kind regards,
