Does anyone here know of a small (micro) or slot based PLC
that has modules that support a supervised output. This would
be an output that can know that its connected load is drawing
current when turned on; has non-0 ohm continuity to ground when
not turned on. Electronic overload would be OK as well.
General Electric GENIUS output modules (some) have this
capability, and I'm wondering if anyone has bothered to do it.
My requirement is for 24 120VAC outputs, total. The outputs
are only on for 250-800 milliseconds.
Barring that, is anyone aware of a socket or rail mounted relay
or electronic device that could detect AC current being
outputted by a PLC, and alarm if the current is above a
certain level?
