we a microcontrooler based bagging unit of obsolete design. we wish to replace with siemens make PLC(s7 200) for weighing sugar. the existing loadcell range is 14 mv for 0 kg and 28 mv for 100 kg.please reply

you will need a converter for the loadcell to make it a normal plc signal. Is it not somewhere hidden in the machine?
and you will need a controller of any type to see this analog signal and to stop the valve. Or use a complete new PLC for it. however i think siemns is too expensive for this try a small one like plc micro or a wago if needed more assisance just send mail to me.

Siemens S7 300 has a weighing module

SIWAREX M

-41.4 TO 41.5 mV INPUT

Look in the Siemens catalog ST 70 page 4/125
