s7-300 plc with im 365 interface

i have a config of 2 racks.
one with the cpu, im 365 and 8 i/o modules, and another with the im 365 and 8 i/o modules.
i m asking:
can function 8 i/o modules with im 365 on the same rack.
what current consumption (i belive is max 0.8 A for the 8 modules and 1.2 A for the 8 modules + im 365) but i want to be sure.
this current is permanent or varies with load of the modules (some are in reserve)?

You can have all modules in same rack.It basically depends on slot availablity.
