Gx Developer 8 Download

I downloaded gx developer 8 (free) from Mrplc.com.i just started to work with it.in the downloading page they mentioned this is a 1000 step full fungtion software ! wat they mean thousend step? is it 1000 rung ??.
if i use to take back up from plc with this Gxdveloper it will work with older versions like MELSEC MEDOC FX/WIN ? i dond have gx deloper orginal copy. i have only melsoc medoc fx/win orginal. in my project i get some back up program,they all taken with gx deloper.expecting your experted sugetion

No, it is not 1000 rungs. It is pretty much 1000 instructions. I can't remember how branches and things like that count.

It is fully functional beyond the 1000 step limit.

I'm not sure what will happen if you download a program larger than 1000 steps.

It will open up your old Medoc files

Each bit or instruction takes a predesignated amount of steps.

A single normally open or closed bit is 1 step as is a coil - but instructions can take up to 8 steps depending on complexity.

At the start of each line of code is a number, this is the number of steps used so far.
With this software you can use up to 1000 steps

I just got the opportunity to reprogram a bit of code on a paint line (adjust damper operation).
I'm moving the damper controls to an allen bradley slc 5/03, but will be using simple hi/lo ins/outs between the two as an interlock.
Currently the mitsubishi plc (an old a series I believe) is at 1700+ steps.
Will the free trial version work?

No, it is only good for 1000. If you post the file someone may convert it to a PDF for you

Thanks.. but luckily I got a printout. Still I'd rather just edit it myself, but since it's a one off job I can't justify purchasing the full program.
