has anyone used one of these cables to talk with a AB 5/02?

I know that it isnt made by AB, but i need to communicate with the 5/02. Just wondering if anyone has used this particular cable. I like it better than the AB version because it is smaller, I just dont want to run into any problems. They do have the AB version but I dont want to get into a bidding war over it if this will work. What do you guys think?
