Cable GE Fanuc/Koyo DL330 to PC

Hi, I need a diagram to build the Cable GE Fanuc/Koyo DL330 to PC. I want to backup two olds DL300 that i own.

Any of the GE Fanuc CPU models and the Koyo DL330 require the use of a data communications unit for serial connection to a PC. The GE Fanuc part number for the DCU is IC610CCM105. That unit is RS422 communications. Currently there are two options for the Data communications unit. One of them is RS422 communications (D3-422-DCU), the other is RS2332 (D3-232-DCU).

If you use the RS422 DCU, you will need a converter from RS422 to RS232 to be able to connect to your PC. Automation Direct sells one under part number FA-UNICON which includes the cables. It requires an external power supply which could be the 24VDC supply on the PLC.

If you use the RS232 DCU, the cable between your PC and the DCU is D3-DSCBL2. If you want to make your own, the pinouts are given in the catalog on page 8-11 in the software section.

I have been using this cable with the RS422 DCU.

It's extremely necessary use the DCU?
I have hoped that the DCU wasn't necessary

Yes, the port on the PLC is a proprietary parallel port.
