I'm looking for a manual that explains the S5-3964 protcol, can you please help me to find such manual?

In the manual for the CP 521 SI (link below) you can find a short explanation of the 3964 protocol:

If you are using any particular S5 module just search the Siemens support pages for more extensive materials.
