How to change the initial value of a static variable in a FB?

I have created a FB and while creating I have given values for static variables (initialization)....But I want to change some values...

May I know the correct procedure....I have tried to open the instance DB (Which was assigned to that FB) and changed a value and downloaded it and finally found not happened.

Also I tried to open that FB and changed the variable and saved it and downloaded it and still not happened...

While I go online with Instance DB I still find the old values only.

I may be provided with the procedure.

First make sure you have no blocks open.

Open the FB with the stat you wish to change. Changing the initial value for a stat variable in an FB changes the interface of the FB. When you save the FB a message (unless you have turned it off) appears warning you of the interface change. Save and close the block. Now open the block where the FB is called and the DB associated with the call will be red - indicating that the DB is out of date. Click on "File" and then "Check and Update Accesses" - this will regenerate the instance DB. Save the block. Finally download the changed FB and it's instance DB and the calling block and you are done.
