We are connecting our plc(RS232) with the micromaster(RS485), and in the micromaster is the communication configured in USS(P910=1) and in the plc the communication is configured as freeport SM30.0=1. But we are not using the USS blocks available on Siemens. Can anybody tell us where we can find or how we have to program the micromaster in freeport?

Juan,

from your post I detect you are using an S7-200 PLC. The programming port of that PLC is an RS485 port. The electrical characteristics don't change by using an other protocol (freeport). The only way to get a real RS232 is to attach a converter (eg. PC/PPI cable) to the programming port.

Kind regards,
