How do I ensure that the latest control parameters being used in my PLC contrologix5000 are saved in the event of the panelview reload or reboot.

Is there best a practice guide for this?.

In Panelbuilder I always uncheck "write to controller on start up".

Then the PLC gets to keep right on running with no unexpected changes if the Panelview is rebooted.

The downside, is that there is no "read from controller on start up" option.

So, certain indicators will not show the correct state without some extra programming and workarounds.

That is my practice anyhow.
