An Engineer on the site that I am currently working at has told me that Seimens-TI505 IO can be used as remote I/O by Rockwell's Control Logix PLC's. Anyone out there know if this is the case ? I told him that I thought it highly unlikely but what the heck stranger things have happened at sea..

Add a profibus master module to Control Logix and put an RBC module to the TI505 rack (take out the CPU) and it should work.
Is there standard DI/DO in the TI?

That's how I've done it: Use a Woodhead/SST Profibus Master module in the ControlLogix chassis and the Siemens 505 Profibus RBC (now only available as the 2500-RBC from CTI) in the 505 chassis.
