Panel view 550 cant get online

Ok I have a Panel view 550 cat number 2711-t5a5l1 that I am trying to get online with. I dont know how.

I have a allein bradley 9300usbs usb to serial port.

I have a allein bradley 2706-nc13 to hook up to the panel veiw.

So what do I need to do to download a program?

I know I need to go to rs linx but what do I set the driver as then what?

Your PV has DH485 protocol with a RS232 port. You have to use the 1747-PIC/AIC+ driver in RsLinx to communicate. You will need a real serial port to use this driver. See PDF below.
Best solution (IMO) would be to purchase a 1747-UIC ( USB to DH485 converter)

You need a 1747UIC. This will connect your computer via the USB and then use the bottom port 9 Pin D shell to connect to the P/View. USB to serial adaptors won't convert to DF1 to 485. When you install the driver for the UIC, instead of selecting the PIC/AIC driver select the 1747KE.
