Hi am trying to re use an old E series E300 HMI, however it has been password protected does anyone know if you can override the password many thanks

The password is in the software so look in the program and you will find it.

Hi i don't have the original code that was downloaded to the HMI and cannot upload it without the software, can you be a bit more specific as to where i might find it many thanks

You will need edesigner software to upload the HMI configuaration file and look in that. How can you reuse it if you dont have the software? Either it is suitable 'as is' or you need the software to modify it.

Press and hold Backspace and F8 at power up, this will get you to a menu where you can erase the eeprom. You will loose the original program but as you want to re-use the HMI that isn't a problem.
