Hello,
I'm looking for a compact PLC with approx. 12 Inputs (4 analogs) and 6
outputs (relays) programmed with CodeSyS. I'm about to use it for
coordination of simple heating systems (gas boiler, solar heating,
etc.) What I have found so far is the Moeller easyControl range.

Do you have any experience of that Moeller in real application?

Best regards

Karol

We haven't used one in production yet but I wouldn't hesitate to if there was a system that called for it.

We have used 100's of easy relays and a dozen or so XC100 and XC200 controllers.

You just have to make sure you can work with the limitations of the easy control. The total number of inputs is 12 so if you use all 4 analogs, you only have 8 digital inputs left. Also, the analog inputs are 10 bit resolution and a relatively low (for an analog input) 11.2 kOhm input impedance.

You can find all the product documentation as well as a beginners tutorial here:

<disclaimer> I work for a Moeller distributor.

Re: compact PLC - Codesys

Many thanks for your reply. In the meantime I have found the Wago I/O system 750 range. It is programmed with CodeSys as well and has many fieldbus options. I'll try with that first because of modular I/O with even 2 channels on one module. So I can build very easy a customized configuration.

Regards

Karol

Ah,

Well if you want to do some comparison shopping Moeller has a similar system as well (Note Micro Innovation is owned by Moeller):

As well as their modular system which will save panel space over the slice style:

http://www.moeller.net/en/products_solutions/motor_applications/control/modular_plc/index.jsp

Or back to slice style I/O Bosch Rexroth also makes controllers that program in CoDeSys:

<more disclaimers: I work for a distributor or Moeller and Bosch Rexroth products>
