Does anyone out there know a simple fast way to erase memory of a GE Fanuc 90/30 322 CPU. I know the 350 CPU has 2 soldered points in which to drain the capacitor that holds the memory up called MEM CLR, is the 322 the same or could i just dischage the capacitor. The reason why i am doin this is too change the SNP ID of the existing CPU to a different one

I'm not sure why you think you need to clear the PLC's memory to change the SNP ID.

You will have to remove the plastic cover on the baseplate to expose the circuit board. The capacitor on the CPU311 that I have here is labeled C20. You may have to remove the circuit board from the metal heat sink to be able to short out the capacitor.

The battery that maintains RAM is located in the power supply. If you have enough time, you could simply remove the power supply module overnight.
