Does anybody know where I can get information or get demo programs for texas instruments PLC's?
I might get a job in a company where all the equipment is controlled with this kind of plc, and I am familiar with allen bradley plc's only.

Thanks in advance.

Rene.

Hello Rene;
TI divested itself of its PLC line a few years ago.
The TI505 PLC line was absorbed by Siemens.
The TI405 amd TI304 families were originally rebranded Koyo PLCs; Koyo now sells them under the DirectLogic name.

So you can lookup TI505 documentation as Simatic 505 PLCs, on the following link:

I recommend you change the "Entry Type" selection box to "Manuals" in order to limit your search; if you look to the left, there is a navigation tree you can use to specify which type of module you need information on. Start with the System Manual and the Programming reference documents if what you need is a basic overview.

The TI405/305 documentation is still available on the Automationdirect.com site. Here is a link to the product line from Automation Direct; there are links for DirectLogic 305 and DirectLogic 405 PLCs (almost same as TI305/405) and a tab for manuals that you can download.

Hve a look, and come back to the forum when you have need of specific help.
We have a few mwmbers who are quite savy with these PLCs, and very willing to help.

Hope this helps,
Daniel Chartier

Hello

Here at this site there are also a lot of manuals that you can use for study.

Also a link to the Fastrak site they have developed the windows based programming software for the 505 plc,s called workshop 505.
In the past Siemens also bought this software under the name softshop,
At this site it’s possible to download a demo version of workshop 505 programming software.

Take also a look at the CTI site.

This company now produces the 2500 series plc that are fully compatible with the Siemens 555 cpu.s only they are much faster and have more communication possibilities.
CTI and Fastrak are working close together with each other.

As you can see on the CTI site they also offer Training.

I hope this information together with Daniels information will help you to do your new job with the TI plc,s.

Regards
Henny
