 Hi everybody,
Can anyone explain how to change the MPI address on these plc/cpu.
I can change it on the offline program but I'm unable to change it say from 2 to 8 on the plc.
Can anyone help with this please.

You have to download it to the processor from the hardware configuration.

Configure it, like you said you have, and connect the PC to processor's MPI port.

You have to configure the interface using Set PG/PC from the SIMATIC Manager's Options menu. Set it as node 0 (the PC's address), 187.5kbps if you're using a USB adaptor.

Open the hardware configuration and click the download button. It should pull up a window that leads you to the connected processor. If its address has never been changed it should be a 2. Select it, and download the hardware configuration to it.
