Dear All
I would like to share experience with others on the subject free software and open source.
I have very briefly tested an open source process control system called Proview. You can find it on www.proview.se
It is developed and used by SSAB, a Swedish steel manufacturer.
It would probably make big success in other places too, but it is basically unknown to the public.
Documentation is ok but could be better and it is up to anyone to contribute both to documentation and the software itself.
I have tested it with the Modbus/TCP driver to control some Beckhoff I/O modules. So far it seems to work ok. I am looking forward to using this software in a real application.
Please give me some input if you know any other open source / free software.
