Hello,
I have a little test system, a ML1500 connected to 1761-net-eni with cable HM02 (DF1 protocol) on one side, and on other side net-eni connected to westermo lynx400 (ring optical modem). On optical network I have connected more two SLC 5/05 processors (each on his own lynx400 modem) this two procesors can read and write message in both direction. OK you ask what is the problem? With ML1500 over net-eni I can read and write to both slc 5/05, but with slc i can not read or write to ml1500 over net-eni? The data table is N50:0 and exists in all three plc. I was try with this type message: 485cif, 500cpu, plc5.

All device have own static ip address, and all device is in the same subnet.
"For example settings: IP for net-eni:192.168.2.211(Message Routing: 0 - 192.168.2.221; 1 - 192.168.2.201) his lynx:192.168.2.210, first slc:192.168.2.201 / his lynx:192.168.2.200, second slc:192.168.2.221 / his lynx:192.168.2.220"

Thanks,
Ivan

Try setting up your message instruction in the SLC for multi-hop. Open the setup screen and click on the MultiHop tab and add the IP of the MicroLogix NET-ENI. I haven't done this to a MicroLogix before, only to another 5/03 with a NET-ENI, so not sure if this will work, but may be worth a try.

EDIT: You have to first enable multi-hop on the General tab before the MultiHop tab will become visible.

jshiepe is right on; the SLC-5/05 MSG instruction needs to be configured for "Multi-Hop" mode.

The default protocol for an SLC-5/05 MSG instruction is the legacy "CSPv4" protocol used by PLC-5E and SLC-5/05 controllers prior to about 1999.

The "Multi-Hop" option causes the SLC-5/05 to use the modern EtherNet/IP protocol with the Rockwell Common Industrial Protocol (CIP). This is the only Ethernet protocol supported by 1761-NET-ENI, MicroLogix 1100/1400, and ControlLogix family controllers.

Your SLC-5/05 controllers must also support EtherNet/IP, so they need to be newer than about 1999. The first SLC-5/05 operating system that supported EtherNet/IP was OS501 Series C FRN 5.

Tnx guys, I was try with configure MSG instruction for "Multi-Hop" before and didn't work. But after reading yours post (And thank you a lot on them) I have try once again.
Yes it work, my mistake: first I was read wrong data address (N50:10) whose I don't have created in ML1500 (I was have only N50:0), and second I don't use good type of message (485cif) with 500cpu works fine read and write.

Thank you very much.
