Hello,

I am looking at an aplication with REDOX control in a continious waterflow.

Basically i have a pipe with waterflow 0-200 litres/minute. A dosage pump is to be used to dosage acid in the pipe. I will control the REDOX via a REDOX sensor/transmitter connected right upstreams from the dosage pump.

What worries me is that the flow is varying 0-200 lpm and the variations can be fast. I have no control or input of the flow.

Has anyone done this before?

If the flow and water quality are variable, you might consider a primary pump for low dosage needs, supplemented by a secondary pump (or more) for surges. Any chance of installing a holding tank? Even a small one would help. If you have some flexibility in the allowable downstream water quality where mixing can occur, maybe have the dosage pump fill a small acid reservoir with a valve than can react more quickly to the acid demand than the pump can.
