1747-BSN RS-232/485 Communication Channel

Hi,

i want to use the 1747-BSN's RS232 Communication Channel as DF1 Network to communicate with the operator interface.
i have a RS232 modem for GSM communication, and i want to use it in serial on the same DF1 network.

i don't know if DF1 Network will supports the modem and the operator interface?
can i message the modem with DF1 without problem on the operator interface?
what about 1747-BSN switching?
