Scaling in Inches on 0-20 Ma

Hey everyone! i have an application were i have a 17 foot oil tank i want to scale the 0-20 Ma signal in inches on this 17 foot tank which is 204 inches
Can someone please help me

Need more details. I assume you mean you have a sensor that outputs 0-20ma to your PLC. Do you want this output converted to height of your tank?

Can you tell us the brand of PLC you are using?

mA in, multipied by 204, divided by 20

That will result in aprox, 10 inchs equals 1 mA
or 0.1 ma equals 1 inch again aprox

Are you sure that your input signal isn't 4 to 20 mA?

u can use scaling function,low inp as 0,high inp as 20 then scale them to low out 0..hi out 204..hope it may work.
