Has anyone seen vlink running as a driver in RSlinx, and what is it used for ? I'm can't get a backed up RSView 32 project to communicate with a SLC 50/3 which I running on a new build pc. The only difference is on the old system vlink is running / named in the configured drivers in linx along with A DF1 RS232 which is the comms path I routed.

If your vlink is inside rslinx, use rslinx back up utility.
back up the configuration driver and save it to the pc.
copy the file onto a jump drive.
copy to the new pc and use the restore command instead of backup.

Thats what we do.

regards,
james.
