newbie help

Hello everyone.

I'm very new here in the forum and i hope that you can help me on controls.I would like to learn communication protocols and how to apply on my projects (profibus,ethernet,devicenet). do you have suggestions where will i start? or is there any site which can help me learn this things step by step?
