miss the IE genertor in simatic opc

The "IE General" should not disappear after a power cycle.
What I have seen occasionally, is that the IE General entry becomes corrupt if the linked Ethernet card is reconfigured or removed altogether, or if an additional ethernet card is added to the PC.
Someone didnt activate a Windows restore point ?
