Hi all,
I have recently been giving the project of getting a 90's plc driven machine up and running, and i am running into some problems with the plcs. From the information i have on the machine and advice i have recieved from the manufacturer, i believe the cpu embedded in the controller is bad, and i need to replace it. I have a new controller, and the code that needs to be programmed into it, but i have no way to get the code into the controller.

I have seen the hand-held programmer (~$600) but this doesn't make sense for what would most likely be a one time use. Buying expensive software would not be logical either. What i am asking is what is the easiest and cheapest way to upload 20 lines of code into the controller.

Thanks

If this is for a one-time use and you have no interest in ongoing maintenance or future modifications, then the quickest and easiest would probably be to locate someone local who knows the 90-30 and pay him for a couple hours of his time.

If you're on good terms with your local GE distributor, maybe you can get their PLC specialist to come in and do it for you.
