Good day all. I searched the Rockwell Automation web site but couldn't find an answer: I have 6 of these 1771-TCM's in our PLC-5. Four are in one rack, and the other two are in another rack. All of the four modules in one rack have a steady green LED. The two in another rack have flashing Green LED's. I'm having problems with a couple of TC's and suspect this might be the reason why. The problem is, I don't know what the flashing green LED's mean. I know my RTD modules in my SLC control will flash when the channels aren't wired or configured properly, but I don't know about these modules in the PLC-5. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

see if this helps ... there appear to be some differences between the series numbers ... check yours to be sure you're getting the right book ...

check your BTW to those modules. see if they are on error?

yes, Jeff, I just got back to the screen and saw that ... now we're just dealing with a simple Thermocouple/Millivolt module - instead of a Temperature Control Module - with its own 17 year-old dedicated software ...

No, ER=0 in bit box. However, EN, ST, DN, CO, and EW continually toggle back-and-forth from 1 to 0. On my other modules that the green LED's are continuously lit only the EN bit is toggling.

No sir, I'm told for Homeland Security reasons I can't (sorry). Not because of the program but because what we use in this process.

which channels (numbers please) - on which modules (slot numbers please) - what types of problems (details please) ...

Start with chapter 7 that is troubleshooting.
Table 7.A shows LED status.
what have you tried so far to fix this?
