I have a “USB/PPI Multi master cable” for connecting my Laptop with PLC S7-200. First time when I bought that cable, I connected it with PLC and PC and found communication well. But now after two years, when I connect the cable with PLC and Laptop and run the program, an error for communication time out appears at My S7-200 Network. I restarted the PC and PLC several times but no results appeared. Please assist how to resolve this issue.

Have you checked your PG/PC Interface comport, transmission rate, proper cable ect... and is this port enabled in windows. I would check to see if another application is using the port.
