rs5000 comm with Benshaw SS via mxde3 Module

I need to control Benshaw Soft start over Ethernet between ENBT and MXDE3 module. any experience here with mxde3 comm module ?Is generic module in rs5000 the way to go ?
 
Raising the dead with this.... anyone have any ideas on where to start communicating with one of these dinosaurs?

We have a SLC5 on site.... maybe just easier to interface with the Benshaw Soft start via that?
