We are currently using Proface gdu's in our building. Is there a way to get the amp reading from the drive which is connected through devicenet to the gdu? Would help us out more that opening the panel and going to that parameter....just wondering.

I confess I know nothing about devicenet but if the drive is controlled by a plc and the Proface unit is on the network then you should be able to. I know that if it were Profibus, the speed and current readings are sent back to the plc and can be easily displayed on an HMI.

thats kinda what i am after jsut a way to monitor the amperage....i know for a fact ur right about profibus because i have worked with it before....just not sure where to find it in the devicenet part...anyone know?
