PanelView Component or PanelView Plus ?

Hi Friends

I need to select an HMI for a Micrologix 1400, I have seen that 2711C PanelView Component is an option, not so expensive and the software is free, but can I use a 2711P panel view plus compact for this PLC?
I have Factory View installed.

What ventages and disaventages should I considerer between both hmi´s?


I have used Factory Tall View and PanelBuilder many times, but never panelview component, do you recommend?

Get a real HMI and don't waste your time, money, and gray hair on those rockwell toys.

(Red Lion...cheaper, faster, better).

+1 on the Redlion.
-100 on the Panelview Component.

For me, I do like the Red Lion, but if you must use AB, I would definitely recommend the Plus over the component. Programming the component was the most tedious, frustrating thing I have ever done. HTML editing= bad,bad...bad.

I used a PV Component on a recent project. The 1000 that I used has Ethernet as does the 1400. It's OK. I also used the offline development software. It's not a PV Plus, but it's OK. It's NOT as bad as everyone says.
