Hi All,

Anyone please advice, why i cannot surf to the S7-1214C webserver login pages.
I'm currently using S7-1214C AC/DC CPU, with FW v2.2. I did enable the webserver and write protection option via TIA V11, S7-1214C IP was 192.168.0.1 and my laptop IP192.168.0.88, subnet 255.255.255.0. With this congfiguration i tired to connect the PLC and Laptop with ethernet cable and insert http://192.168.0.1 to the internet explorer 8. but is still cannot surf to the main log in pages. Can anyone here please advice what do i miss in the congfiguration ?

Thanks.

Did you program the PLC with the ethernet cable?
can you ping your PLC?
maybe the webserver is configured on another port instead of default (80)?

The login page uses the https protocol. If you have a firewall make sure it passes port 443.

The main problem I recognized with the login page is caused by the https certificate, because it's not a pre-installed certificate.

You can try to manually download and install this certificate from the start page of the S7-1200 (link on the top right corner of the start page).
In IE9 the certificate is installed, but nevertheless I get an error message so I don't use IE any more.
With the Firefox webbrowser you have to install this certificate and then it runs.

Hi Wimpiesplc,

Yes, PLC is program by ethernet cable, and i able to ping my PLC IP Adress. about the webserver port, can you please advise in more detail, how can i check and how can i change. port 80 is the only port can be configure ??

Hi Thomas V2,

im fail to go in to the start up page, so i have no way to download the certificate, by using http://, internet explorer show unable to connect to the webpages, by using https:// it show no certificate installed.
Also, can you please advice how can i check my current firewall is set to pass port 443? i did disable the firewall, but this still happen.

Thanks.

Did you set the "Permit access only with HTTPS" check box? When you disable it, you should get the main page without https and be able to install the certificate from there.
The login page usese always https, doesn't care of the https-check box.
If it's possible I would simply try another webbrowser. The IE is a little bit touchy about https certificates.

You only need to configure any firewall or ports when you connect to the S7-1200 through a router (e.g. by portforwarding or a VPN connection).
When your PC is directly connected to the Plc, usually outgoing connections from your PC are always allowed when you have a firewall on your PC running.
