Siemens help

I have a Siemens processor CPU317-2Dp that has a flashing red BF2 led and a steady red SF led. Can anyone tell me what these mean, not much experience with Siemens.

BF normally indicates a bus fault or comms fault, have you checked your diagnostic buffer? Could you give us a screenshot of it please.

The BF2 syas that there is a problem on interface X2 - the DP port. The most plausible cause is that there is a problem accessing a configured Profibus DP slave. So you can check if there is any DP slave that is shut down, cable is disconnected, cable is damaged, bad connector wiring, etc..

I found the problem, one of the profibus stations had the connector bent over, replaced it, all ok. Thanks for getting me in right direction
