Hi all,
We got our PLC's (Omron c200H) connected with a RS422 connection (SYSMACWAY). RS422 is converted to RS232 and communicates with a scada cimplicity server. Now i've added a Nport w2150 plus device server, converting our RS232 serial to ethernet. So our serial signal goes over our company network (moving Cimplicity server out of range of serial network). I've configurated the Nport as Device control and Realcom. Installed Nport windows driver manager and setup a virtual com port for communication. This all works wiht one PC/server. In the manual it says that Realcom can handle up to 4 simultanious connections. I wanted to make a connection from my workspace with my laptop, configurated a com port to and when i want to make a connection it says "The selected port is used by another application"
Does anyone have used a Nport before and know why i can't make a connection?
Thanks in advance.
