Welcome to the Forum !

The memory module and Real Time Clock are optional in the MicroLogix 1500 controller.

If you want to have non-volatile memory features or use a Real-Time Clock, you do need to install that module.

To select I/O for the MicroLogix 1500 controller, I recommend starting with the User Manual (1764-UM001) and with the Compact I/O Technical Details reference manual (1769-TD006).

Both are available from the RA Literature website.
