Basic for BMS

Hi everybody. I am new to automation and this forum too. I have done plc training and completed some minor/simple plc projects. Now My boss has acquired a BMS project. I have never worked on BMS system before.
I just want suggestions as to what should a person possess basic knowledge of before Programming logic in Building System. Some reading suggestions will also be highly appreciated.

I would look at what you want the system to do and determine a more direct question.

Some things that you probably will need is remote access, real time clocks, etc.
