I've just replaced stepper motor AMCI SM34-450D, the Stepper Driver is AMCI SD8055 and the Stepper module is AB 1746-HSTP1. This is the problem I'm seeing, when I index the motor it will revolver in one direction, if I index it again, it may revolve in the same direction or in the other direction or just shake. Anyone have a clue what's going on? John

Thanks for your reply chavak, just got back to this issue. Acceleration and deceleration - words 6 and 7 values are, 6=850 and 7=3000. What does 3000 indicate, the range is 1 to 2000? John

Accel and Decel should both be using the units steps/second/second. So, your decal is set for 3000 steps per second decel such that every second, the speed decreases by 3000 steps per second.

Thanks danatomega, what I meant by what does 3000 indicateis this; the allowable range is 1 to 2000 so presumably, 3000 should not be entered so how did it get there? Does it indicate that the module is suspect. John
