I have a copy of the manual and will upload it to a file server. I will send you a link by Private Message. Also the other link to a thread in post #2Thanks for posting the link, but unfortunately, it looks like Toshiba has removed all of the EX40 related material from their site. I had alreay tried the link as I found it in an earlier post - hence the reason for requesting a copy.
I also have the pdd programmer but need to get/make the 422 to 232 converter.
Tony
Check your PM's for links to uploads.
I'm glad to see someone is still interested in this old PLC. Check your Private messages.Hi. I'm trying to help out a friend with an ailing EX40 Plus and EX20 Expansion. I've got the User Manual, and RS232 - 422 adapter diagram, (thank you, the links still work) but I'd like to get hold of the laptop software too if possible. Are you able to help please?
Best regards
Andy.
I have never had any success using a USB serial adapter except on some RSLogix software and a SLC500 PLC. I believe it was a Keyspan 19HS or something like that. Other adapters would not work at all. Maybe you can try using some DOS to USB software ahead of the DOS software, might work. I'm thinking DOS2USB software or maybe DOSBOX. I personally just kept some old computers around with real RS232 serial ports and Win98. WinXP might work. If you need help testing them, let me know. Good luck.Coincidentally, I was trying to check some old Cutler Hammer D100's I have laying around. I have the factory serial converter and D100 software and manual. However, using an XP laptop and USB serial adapter, I could not log in to the PLC.
