Thanks Mickey,No
RSLogix 500 Micro Starter Lite is for the ML1000 and ML1100 only.
RSLogix 500 Starter, Standard, and Professional applications, as well
as RSLogix Micro software, all support the MicroLogix 1400 controller, including its online
editing capabilities.
RSLogix 500 comes in various "levels" ...
going by memory here - but I THINK that you should be able to get a package that will do what you want for about $500 ... the package that goes for about $1600 will handle the SLC-500 systems too - more than you need for just the 1400 ...
TIP: don't go for the cheaper MicroLogix 1000 ... it might be cheaper - but that one won't let you practice the "Accept - Test - Assemble" steps involved in "online programming" ... the 1100 will handle those highly valued skills ... .
9324-RLM0100ENE programming software for all Micrologix PLC's is about $145.00.
Here is the difference between the two

WHOA - I don't use the free software ... I THINK that it will do "online edits" with the 1100 ... can someone please confirm that? ... that feature MIGHT not be included with the free version of RSLogix 500 ...
I saw a 1761-L32BWA at a discount price of $1,992.00 out there.
I can't wait till they discontinue the SLC500, I have a lot of parts!

If you ever want to sell your SLC parts I buy them also
