Rockwell Software Won't Open

I know that this thread is ancient, but I just had a similar issue using Win7x64 in a VMWare guest. RSLogix5000 v20 would launch the splash screen then disappear with abotu 10.5 mb of RAM usage.

Following this (https://rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/516311) helped, particularly in regards to deleting the .rnl files.

I had this issue last week, all I needed to do was run the Rockwell software as administrator one time and it worked after that.

You really need to start a new thread. A lot of the people on this site won't even look at a thread this old so the person with the answer may not see the question.

Thanks for all your help, deleting files in program data - Rockwell automation - Factory talk activation, and then there delete .rnl files after stopping rockwell processes in task manager was the solution for me
