PV550 Issue

Cannot see PV550 using 1747-PIC. Originally was able to when downloaded program to PV550. Now the RSLINX cannot see unit. RSLINX and 1747-PIC is O.K. because it recognizes the old PV550 but not the new model PV550. Replaced a older PV550 with a failing backlight with a new model w/o backlight. Remember I orignally was able to communicate with new PV550 before download. The new PV550 does communicate with the SLC 5/01 processor.

Please provide us with the complete catalog number of your new PV550.

Since it's communicating with a 5/01 controller it has to be a DH-485 unit, but of course there are four different models that support DH-485, so the general requirement to "post the whole part number".

My guess is that either RSLinx is set up as the name node number as the PanelView (so that they conflict) or there's a "maximum node number" setting that limits the browsing of the network.

I believe that PanelView terminals come out of the box as Node 2 on DH485. Their actual runtime node address is configured in PanelBuilder32.
