1769-IT6 configuration

Trying to add a 1769-IT6 thermocouple module to a 1769-L20 compactlogix. 1769-IT6 module has an OK green light when powered up, but a blinking I/O not responding light on. Fault code is (Code 16 #118, module configure rejected. Format error.) Card is a Series A, Revision 5. Options in the program are for Series A, revision 1.1 - 1.15. Is there any way the revision numbers are the problem and if so, is there any way to configure around this fault?
