I have a few of these cards I need to test out. Installed it on a Windows 7 PC. I found the drivers link on Rockwell's site but Windows states the drivers are not found, even after selecting the folder I downloaded. I've tried multiple cards with the same result. There are 30+ folders in their drivers download. I extracted all just to be sure but it still doesn't find it. I found in the pcic98 folder:

"In order to get the 1784-PCIC(S) drivers to work properly, an
additional "A-B Virtual Backplane" driver service must be manually
installed by following this procedure:

1. First install your card, boot the PC, and allow the system to
find the card. The system should run the Add New Hardware Wizard
and install the appropriate hardware driver for the card using
ABVBP98.INF"

Obviously that isn't working since it finds no drivers at all... Any ideas?

The drivers are usually on the RSLinx install disk. They are not copied to the PC when RSLinx is installed.
So you either have to insert the install disk in the CD/DVD drive when searching for the driver, or copy the drivers over manually.

1784-PCIC(S).zip — 1784-PCIC(S) driver version 4.06 for Microsoft Windows 98, Me, 2000 and XP, firmware
version 4.10 for Series B cards, and firmware version 3.10 for Series A cards. [May 4, 2007]

I found this same PDF along with the original download I mentioned earlier, firmware version 3.10 for series A cards is what I need. Nothing is labeled in conjunction with that inside the download but even unzipping everything it still doesn't recognize the correct driver..

Been on the RA Knowledgebase, suggesting drivers are in Linx:
