after visit by it guys I can't connect my pc to ab 5/05
device not recognized. connecting with crossover cable plc config ETH IP, suspect IP or subnet changed on pc.
comms are not my strong point any help appreciated.

What driver were you using in RSLinx? was it your Ethernet driver or your DF1 driver? do you know if they changed anything... also if DF1 are you using a USB cable

OK.. just read your edit, good chance they changed your IP address, have you tried rebooting your PC?

Yes i have rebooted my pc many times, its been 4 weeks since there visit, and i don't know what they did. I was using eth ip driver.

Check to see if your pc is on the same network as your plc. Do you have a off line copy of the program or do you know the ip address?

If i have time tomorrow I will make one for checking your IP address, it may also be your issue

You need to set the IP address on your computer so that it is the same range as the PLC, you can get the PLC address from the offline file.

Thanks guys, driver would not load because ip had been changed.
I changed IP and sub, back on line
